About Liberty Walk

Liberty Walk was founded in 1993 by Wataru Kato and is based in Owariasahi, Aichi Prefecture, on the outskirts of Nagoya. The company says its style draws on Japanese "kaizo" (modification) culture, especially the kaido racer cars of the Showa era. It calls the look "Works Style."

Liberty Walk became known worldwide through its LB★Performance brand, which began in 2008 with a Lamborghini Murciélago body kit made for a customer and debuted at SEMA in Las Vegas in 2009. In 2012 the LB★WORKS line arrived at SEMA with bolt-on "Works Fenders," and later builds covered the Ferrari 458, Nissan GT-R, Lamborghini Aventador and Huracán, McLaren 650S and more. The company also launched LB Silhouette Works GT and, according to its own timeline, signed a Lamborghini design contract in 2018.

Liberty Walk and the JDM scene

Liberty Walk is famous for its supercars, but Japanese cars have always been central to the brand. Its LB-Super Silhouette series brings Japanese silhouette racing style to classic drift and tuner cars. That series includes the ER34 Skyline (announced in 2020), the S15 Silvia (2021), a four-rotor R35 GT-R drift car (2022), the FD3S RX-7 (2023) and the 180SX. LB★WORKS kits for the 350Z, G37 and NSX bring wide, riveted-fender styling to cars many enthusiasts already own.
