About Eagle

Eagle Specialty Products is an American manufacturer of high-strength connecting rods and crankshafts for racing engines. The company was incorporated in 1992 and is based in Southaven, Mississippi. Beyond individual rods and cranks, Eagle offers complete rotating assemblies that package the crankshaft, rods, pistons, rings and bearings together for a matched bottom end. Its connecting rod range includes both H-beam and I-beam designs.

Eagle says its steel cranks and rods are made from certified steel, go through multi-stage heat treating, and are checked with sonic testing, magnafluxing and x-ray inspection. Its parts are intended for competition use and are not for pollution-controlled vehicles.

Eagle and the JDM scene

When a JDM build moves past stock-rod power levels, forged H-beam rods are usually the first internal upgrade, and Eagle is a common choice for builders who want 4340 forged steel without boutique pricing. Its sport compact range covers many of the engines that defined the import tuner era, from Honda's B- and K-series to Mitsubishi's 4G63 and Toyota's 2JZ.
