About DeatschWerks
DeatschWerks is an American fuel system company founded in 2004 and based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It started in the Edmond, Oklahoma garage of David Deatsch, a microbiology and biochemistry graduate who tinkered with cars as a hobby. He began modifying fuel injectors for his own car, friends wanted the same upgrade, and the hobby turned into a side business and then a full-time company that, by his account, outgrew the garage within about three months.
Today DeatschWerks operates from a 36,000 sq. ft. facility that houses design, manufacturing, quality assurance and sales. The catalog covers fuel injectors, in-tank and in-line fuel pumps, modular surge tanks, fuel rails, filters and pressure regulators, with more than 500 SKUs spanning sport compact, modern muscle and European vehicles.
DeatschWerks and the JDM scene
Fuel is usually the first wall a turbo JDM build hits, and DeatschWerks grew up solving exactly that problem. Its injector business started with sport compact owners chasing more power, and the company's DW440 is described as the first in-tank brushless fuel pump in the aftermarket. Direct-fit pump kits and plug-and-play injectors make it straightforward to support bigger turbos and E85 on popular platforms.
